Governor Bill Clinton used this slogan to capture the White
House from George Bush in 1992. Today, the saying is just
as relevant, if not more so.
While most politicians promise to create
new jobs, we all know that government itself cannot truly
create new jobs. While Illinois Democrats seek to expand government
to create new jobs, we all know there is a shortage of funds
needed to pay for them. Government's role is to foster an
atmosphere that encourages job creation by lowering taxes
and offering economic incentives to attract businesses. We
need to become a destination community for businesses. Its
time to put Illinois back to work.
During Kurt's tenure at Elgin Township, he
advocated job training programs and temporary assistance grants
that helped provide opportunities for residents to gain and
maintain employment. Kurt believes in helping people help
themselves. He has been a major advocate of faith-based initiatives
designed to promote fiscal responsibility and home ownership.
While government doesn't create jobs, it
is charged with creating and sustaining a business friendly
climate that encourages job growth in the private sector.
Kane County can do a better job or attracting high end employers.
You cannot attract jobs when you nickel and dime the companies
with higher taxes and fees.
