Pass a Petition
Before
the race can begin, the campaign needs to collect enough signatures
to get Kurt's name on the ballot. If you live in the district
or would like to help support the campaign, download a petition
and startcollecting signatures today.
Directions
for Circulating a Petition for Kurt
- You
must be 18 years or older and a citizen of the United States.
You need not have voted in the last Republican Primary,
nor any primary. You are even eligable if you voted in the
last Democrat Primary.
- You
must personally witness all signatures made on the petition.
- You
may sign your own petition.
- You
may pass this petition anywhere in the 19th
district.
- You
may not circulate petitions for more than one political
party in the same election year.
- Petitions
with less than 10 signatures on them DO count. If you are
not able to fill out the entire petition, please send in
the partial. Every signature counts!
- If
you find that a signature is invalid, don't worry. A bad
signature does not negate a good one, or disqualify a petition.
Let the campaign know which ones you believe are invalid.
- You
must sign as the circulator in the presence of a Notary
Public licensed in Illinois and the Notary Public must affix
his/her seal or stamp. Most banks and libraries will notarize
free of charge.
- DO
NOT number the Petition page.
